# How to Properly Set Up the olaao System After Registration

After successfully completing the registration process and verifying your email address, you will be guided through the initial system setup. This step is essential, as it directly affects how your page behaves, which features are available, and how the system interacts with your visitors.

The initial setup can be divided into several main sections:

1. Branch

2. System Settings

3. Media

4. Subscription and Mirrored Domain

Let us begin with the most important step.

1. Branch

A branch represents the contact address of your page. In the free version, you can create one branch. In the paid version, you can create multiple branches, which is particularly useful if you plan to use the booking system for your services. The system allows only one default branch.

This default branch is automatically displayed on the contact page and serves as your primary contact point—such as your company headquarters or main location.

Why is the branch so important?

olaao automatically provides a contact page in all usage modes. Without a properly configured branch, the system cannot be used to its full potential.

2. System Settings

The core system configuration is managed in the section:

Settings → System

The most important elements for the initial setup include:

Mode: Determines how you intend to use the system (e.g., blog, catalog, booking system, website).

Publish: Controls whether the page is publicly accessible.

# We recommend publishing the page only after completing the full setup, including all content.

Meta Suffix: Appears in the meta title after the page name in the following format:

# Page Title | Meta Suffix

We strongly recommend using this field to include your brand or project name.

VAT Payer: An important piece of information for visitors of the catalog or booking system.

Enabled Modules: Allows you to activate or deactivate individual system modules based on your needs.

Additional options available in the paid version:

- Enabled Languages – up to 5 language versions

- Enabled Currencies – up to 5 global currencies

3. Media

For the initial setup, media can be divided into two primary elements:

Logo: The logo should ideally be uploaded in PNG format with a transparent background to ensure correct display in both light and dark modes.

Favicon: The favicon should include a background—preferably dark (such as black)—to ensure it is clearly visible in browser tabs.

Technical limitations:

- Maximum file size: 2 MB

- Supported formats: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .webp

4. Subscription and Mirrored Domain

If you decide to use the paid version of the system (1 USD per month), you will gain access to advanced features.

4.1 Subscription

In the section:

Settings → License → Select Plan

You can choose your subscription plan and proceed to the payment gateway.

After a successful transaction, you will be redirected back to the administration panel, where the paid version and increased limits will be activated automatically.

4.2 Mirrored Domain

Once the subscription is active, you can connect your page to your own domain.

# Your original page address:

https://olaao.com/@your-slug

# can be fully mirrored to:

https://yourdomain.com

All content published on the original address will be fully mirrored on your custom domain.

How to enter your domain:

- Without http:// or https://

- Without www

- Valid formats:

-- yourdomain.com

-- subdomain.yourdomain.com (e.g., blog.yourdomain.com)

The www subdomain cannot be used as a subdomain name. You can also choose whether your domain should automatically redirect to www.yourdomain.com. This functionality is handled entirely by the olaao system, without requiring any additional DNS configuration or redirect rules on your domain.

Final Summary

To complete the initial system setup correctly, we recommend the following steps:

1. Create a branch and set it as the default contact point

2. Configure the core system settings

3. Upload your logo and favicon

4. If needed, activate a subscription and connect your own domain

As an extra step, you may also fill in your personal details in the section:
